Recycle Track Systems Acquires Cycle Technology

Recycle Track Systems (RTS) has acquired the assets of Cycle Technology, Inc., bringing Cycle's reverse vending machine (RVM) hardware and recycling rewards platform into RTS's portfolio. RTS said the acquisition will expand its engagement-focused recycling solutions for stadiums, events, universities and other commercial facilities by adding Cycle's gamification and rewards capabilities.

Recycle Track Systems (RTS) acquired Industrial Organic PBC (dba Ambrosia), adding Ambrosia’s closed-loop manufacturing capabilities, patents and the Veles consumer cleaning product to RTS’s sustainability and materials-management platform. The deal includes Ambrosia’s 12,000 sq ft production facility in Newark, New Jersey and will enable RTS to scale circular processing and product offerings across its client base.

SER Capital Partners formed Paladin EnviroTech, a PE-backed platform focused on e-waste recycling and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), and immediately expanded the platform by acquiring Florida-based TechSmart International (TSI) and Minnesota-based Integrated Recycling Technologies (IRT). South Korea's Daeheung M&T is partnering with Paladin and has made a minority investment to provide technical expertise and global supply chain connections.

TerraCycle US Acquires Complete Recycling Solutions

Trenton, New Jersey–based TerraCycle US has acquired Complete Recycling Solutions (CRS), a 21-year-old e-scrap and universal-waste processor based in Fall River, Massachusetts. The purchase adds CRS’s lamp recycling and mercury-distillation capabilities to TerraCycle’s Regulated Waste division and will keep CRS led by its former owner and co‑founder, Keith Boyea.

Northstar Recycling Acquires Waste Technology Services

Northstar Recycling Company, LLC has acquired Waste Technology Services, LLC, combining two asset-light providers of managed waste, byproduct management and environmental consulting to strengthen technical capabilities and expand sustainability-oriented services. WTS, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Lewiston, New York, will join Northstar's platform (PE-backed after a 2021 recapitalization led by Ridgemont Equity Partners) to deliver broader recycling, reuse and reclamation solutions across specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, high-technology and industrial end markets.

Routeware Global Acquires ReCollect Systems

Routeware Global, a provider of integrated software solutions for the solid waste and fleet industries, has acquired ReCollect Systems, a Vancouver-based provider of digital communication and citizen engagement tools for recycling. The acquisition expands Routeware's product suite to include ReCollect's mobile apps and online tools, enabling enhanced customer communication, education, and contamination-reduction capabilities for municipalities and private haulers.
