Seller and long-time owner Debra Smith will remain through a transition period and then move to a strategic consulting role; Riverbend plans to retain the Pulliam brand and employees and invest to grow the business.

Marlin Equity Partners has agreed to a majority growth investment in Learning Pool, acquiring the shareholding of Carlyle Cardinal Ireland to support the eLearning provider's continued organic and inorganic growth. The investment will back product and geographic expansion, additional acquisitions and hiring (Learning Pool currently has ~260 employees and plans to add 100 more), while Learning Pool's management has reinvested alongside the transaction.

Amplēo management and Brooks Growth Partners partnered in the transaction; terms were not disclosed. Unity said it will support Amplēo’s M&A-driven platform build, technology and people investments and launch an employee purpose/ownership plan.
