Addtronics Acquires Bow Robotics

Addtronics, a Kaho Partners‑backed holding company focused on robotic automation solution providers, has acquired Bow Robotics, a West Chester, Ohio firm that provides spare parts, rebuild & repair services, and preventative maintenance for industrial robots. Bow's founder William "Bill" Bow will remain as President as the business becomes the third addition to the Addtronics platform, expanding the platform's aftermarket parts and services capabilities.

Addtronics (Kaho-backed) Acquires Sirius Automation

Addtronics, a mission-driven holding company backed by Kaho Partners, has acquired Sirius Automation, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois developer of laboratory robotic systems serving biotech and pharmaceutical customers. Sirius Automation's founder Justin Lu will remain as president as the business becomes the fourth strategic addition to the Addtronics platform to expand lab automation capabilities and end markets. Terms were not disclosed.

Addtronics (Kaho Partners) Acquires Dynamic Design Solutions

Kaho Partners formed holding company Addtronics and, through it, acquired Dynamic Design Solutions (DDS), a Charlotte-based custom robotic automation systems provider. The founder Brad DeMarco retained a meaningful ownership stake and the existing management team will continue to run DDS as part of Addtronics' buy-and-build strategy to scale robotic automation capabilities for U.S. manufacturers.

Addtronics Acquires Colanar

Colanar founder Bernd Stroeter will remain as President as the business becomes part of Addtronics' platform to expand its life-sciences automation capabilities.

Addtronics, a consolidator of niche automation technology providers and a portfolio company of Kaho Partners, has acquired DAC International, a Carpinteria, California-based manufacturer of ultra‑precision equipment for contact lens and intraocular lens production. Route 2 Capital Partners provided subordinated debt and an equity investment to support the transaction, which strengthens Addtronics' medical device/ophthalmic automation capabilities.

TJM Capital Partners Acquires Midwest Automation LLC

TJM Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has acquired Midwest Automation LLC, a family-owned U.S. manufacturer of industrial machinery for metal deburring, edge rounding and surface finishing. Kenny Holley, the past president and owner, exited the business and Micah Coleman (CEO of Timesavers LLC and Dubois Equipment Co.) will serve as incoming CEO as TJM looks to expand Midwest Automation's capabilities and grow the business.
