Addtronics Acquires Colanar

Addtronics, a consolidator of niche automation technology and a portfolio company of Kaho Partners, has acquired Colanar, Inc., a Deep River, Connecticut-based provider of aseptic fill-and-finish automation systems for the pharmaceutical industry. Colanar founder Bernd Stroeter will remain as President as the business becomes part of Addtronics' platform to expand its life-sciences automation capabilities.

Route 2 Capital Partners provided subordinated debt and an equity investment to support the transaction, which strengthens Addtronics' medical device/ophthalmic automation capabilities.
