Amadys Acquires SKG Netzwerktechnik and Muth Kommunikationstechnik

Belgium-headquartered Amadys, a portfolio company of Equistone Partners Europe, has acquired Austrian distributor SKG Netzwerktechnik GmbH and German wholesaler Muth Kommunikationstechnik GmbH as part of its buy-and-build expansion in the DACH region. The add-on deals broaden Amadys' footprint and product/ logistics capabilities to support accelerating FTTH and utility network roll-outs across Austria, Germany and Slovakia.

Equistone Partners Europe Acquires Amadys

Equistone Partners Europe has agreed to acquire Amadys NV, a Brussels-headquartered provider and distributor of passive network equipment for utilities and telecoms, from the company's management and Vectis Private Equity. Management, led by CEO Hein Wilderjans, will reinvest and retain a minority stake; Equistone plans to support organic growth and use Amadys as a platform for consolidation and international expansion. The deal is subject to competition clearance and financial terms were not disclosed.

The Codan Group, through its wholly owned subsidiary Codan US Inc., has agreed to acquire 100% of US-based SKT2 LLC dba Kägwerks, a developer of soldier-worn tactical networking communications hardware and software. The deal, funded partly by increased debt capacity and including upfront cash (~$33.6m) plus up-to-5% royalties over five years, positions Codan to expand its tactical communications capabilities and accelerate entry into the US military market.
