Veolia (Seureca) Acquires MRC Consultants & Transaction Advisers

Veolia, through its consulting engineering division Seureca, has acquired MRC Consultants & Transaction Advisers, an energy consulting firm with operations in Spain and the United Kingdom active across more than 30 countries. The deal strengthens Seureca's energy capabilities — adding expertise in decarbonization, energy planning, system design, project structuring and financing — and brings Seureca's energy division to a workforce of over 70 people.

Veolia (via its Veolia North America unit) announced the acquisition of three U.S. hazardous-waste companies—New England Disposal Technologies, New England MedWaste and Ingenium—alongside additional tuck-ins in Japan (Zeeklite Co. LTD) and Brazil (Alagoas Ambiental). The deals form part of a broader GreenUp strategy to add 530,000 tonnes of hazardous waste treatment capacity by 2030 (100,000 tonnes already in operation) and represent roughly €300 million of targeted acquisitions to expand regional coverage and technical capabilities.
