WCG Acquires Trifecta Clinical

The deal brings Trifecta's investigator training, safety letter distribution and document-exchange capabilities into WCG's suite of clinical research services while Trifecta retains its leadership and offices in Los Angeles and other locations.

WCG Acquires VeraSci

Clario Acquires WCG's eCOA Business

Clario has acquired the electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA) business of WCG to expand its endpoint data solutions and deepen neuroscience-focused clinical outcomes expertise. The deal—announced in March and completed in May 2025—transfers WCG’s eCOA team and capabilities to Clario and is expected to enhance Clario’s support for complex neuroscience clinical trials.

WCG (WIRB‑Copernicus Group) acquired Statistics Collaborative, Inc., a Washington, D.C.‑based biostatistical consultancy that provides specialized statistical support for clinical trials, regulatory submissions and related research. The acquisition brings Statistics Collaborative’s nearly 30 years of biostatistics expertise into WCG’s Scientific and Regulatory Review Division to expand WCG’s capabilities for clinical trial sponsors and biopharmaceutical clients.

Kohlberg Acquires Majority Stake in Worldwide Clinical Trials

An affiliate of Kohlberg & Company agreed to acquire a majority stake in Worldwide Clinical Trials, a global contract research organization (CRO) headquartered in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The transaction is a recapitalization in which prior investor TJC, L.P. retains a meaningful minority equity stake; terms were not disclosed. Kohlberg will partner with Worldwide's management (Matt Jennings to become chairman) to support continued growth of the company's clinical trial and bioanalytical capabilities.

Accenture Acquires Avieco to Expand U.K. Sustainability Capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire Avieco, a U.K.-based sustainability consultancy with a team of more than 60 professionals. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture's Sustainability Services in the U.K. by bolstering ESG measurement, net-zero strategy and data analytics capabilities; terms were not disclosed.
