Flipp Operations Inc. has completed a transaction to combine with MEDIA Central Group, creating a global leader in drive-to-store marketing that will serve thousands of retailers and brands across 27 markets and reach over 400 million households. The new ownership is led by Truelink Capital with Insight Ventures, Bregal Unternehmerkapital and Highland Europe as key partners; funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital sold their majority stake in MEDIA Central.

Toronto-based Media Central Corporation Inc. has completed a cash-and-share acquisition of Vancouver Free Press Corp, the owner of the 53-year-old alternative publication The Georgia Straight, in a deal valued at C$1.25 million. The purchase expands Media Central's portfolio (joining NOW Magazine and CannCentral.com) and immediately increases its targeted audience reach with The Straight's roughly 4.5 million monthly readers.

MidEuropa Acquires Majority Stake in the MBL Group

MidEuropa has acquired a majority stake in the MBL Group, a leading European contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) for assisted mobility, rehabilitation and aged-care equipment. INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund has fully exited its shareholding while the Lauritsen family has reinvested and CEO Martin Lauritsen will continue to lead the business as MidEuropa supports international growth and capability expansion. MBL employs approximately 1,700 people across Europe and Asia and holds over 100 registered patents.

UTA Acquires MediaLink
