Vertice Oil Tools Acquires Completions Assets of Gryphon Oilfield Solutions

Vertice Oil Tools, a Stafford, Texas–based downhole completions technology provider backed by SCF Ventures, acquired substantially all of the completions assets of Gryphon Oilfield Solutions. The deal expands Vertice's geographic footprint and augments its product portfolio with Gryphon's suite of downhole completion technologies, including dissolvable plugs and sleeves.

Precision Drilling Corporation Acquires CWC Energy Services Corp.

Precision Drilling Corporation has entered into an agreement to acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of CWC Energy Services Corp. for approximately $141 million in total consideration (947,909 Precision shares valued at ~$88M, $14M cash, plus assumption of debt). The acquisition adds 62 marketed service rigs in Canada and 18 marketed drilling rigs (including 11 in the U.S.), and is expected to generate about $20 million of annual operating synergies while supporting Precision's deleveraging plan.

HEYCO Energy Group Acquires Egdon Resources

HEYCO Energy Group, through its subsidiary Petrichor Partners LP, completed the acquisition of UK onshore exploration and production company Egdon Resources plc. The deal brings Egdon’s 33 UK licences and producing assets (including the Wressle field) into HEYCO’s privately owned portfolio, expanding its European footprint and adding conventional, shale and renewable energy opportunities.

Gordon Technologies Acquires Vertex Downhole Trading LLC (Vertex UAE)

Gordon Technologies LLC, an Enersol company, has acquired Vertex Downhole Trading LLC (Vertex UAE), the Eastern Hemisphere business of Vertex Downhole Technologies Inc. The deal expands Gordon's Measurement While Drilling (MWD) footprint across the Middle East and Eastern Hemisphere and transfers IP rights for Winc, Winc+ and Mudlink technologies.

Vertice Oil Tools Acquires MorphPackers' Re-frac Assets

Vertice Oil Tools Inc. acquired substantially all assets of MorphPackers Limited to expand its re-completions and re-frac technology portfolio, adding products such as the MorphAnchor and STORM re-frac packers. The deal strengthens Vertice's ability to serve the growing re-frac market and complements its existing downhole completions product line; Vertice is backed by SCF Ventures (SCF Partners).

Sev.en Global Investments Agrees to Acquire 51% of Coronado Global Resources (Agreement Terminated)

In September 2023 Sev.en Global Investments signed a binding agreement to acquire a 51% interest in Coronado Global Resources Inc. from affiliates of The Energy & Minerals Group, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Coronado is a major metallurgical-coal producer with operations in Queensland, Australia and the Central Appalachian region of the United States; EMG terminated the agreement in June 2024 after certain conditions (including FIRB approval) were not satisfied by the outside date.
