Select Energy Services (NYSE: WTTR) acquired substantially all water-related assets and ongoing operations of Complete Energy Services, an operating subsidiary of Superior Energy Services, in exchange for 3.6 million shares of Class A common stock and $14.2 million in cash (subject to adjustments). The deal adds more than 300,000 barrels per day of permitted disposal capacity and brings over 700 field personnel to Select, expanding its footprint across the Permian, Mid-Continent, Rockies, Powder River Basin and the Marcellus/Utica regions.

CRW Consulting & Distribution Acquires CCI Inspection Services

CRW Consulting & Distribution, LLC (rebranding to CRW Companies) has acquired CCI Inspection Services, Inc., a Conroe, Texas–based provider of coating, pipeline and welding inspection services to major energy companies. The deal expands CRW's coatings and surface-preparation consulting capabilities for oil & gas and industrial clients; CRW plans to grow CCI's inspector roster and customer base with projected revenue increases.

Chevron Acquires PDC Energy

Chevron Corporation completed its acquisition of PDC Energy, Inc. in an all‑stock transaction valued at $6.3 billion (approximately $7.6 billion enterprise value), adding significant oil and gas assets in the Denver‑Julesburg (DJ) Basin and the Permian Basin. The deal, approved by PDC shareholders and closed in August 2023, is expected to be accretive to Chevron's earnings, increase proved reserves and deliver operational synergies.

Cycle Energy Industries Acquires Energy Express Canada Corp.

Cycle said the asset currently produces roughly 100–150 barrels of oil per day and expects to increase production materially (2–3x) by applying its recovery and optimization technologies.

ProFrac Holding Corp. Acquires U.S. Well Services, Inc.

ProFrac Holding Corp. completed a stock-for-stock merger to acquire U.S. Well Services, issuing approximately 12.9 million shares (≈$270 million based on a 10-day VWAP) and using cash to retire about $170 million of USWS debt. The deal expands ProFrac's scale and positions it as a market leader in electric hydraulic fracturing with 12 electric fleets and an expected 44 active fleets by early 2023.

Energy Services of America Acquires WV Pipeline, Inc.

Energy Services of America Corporation formed a wholly owned subsidiary, West Virginia Pipeline Acquisition Company, and entered an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all assets of WV Pipeline, Inc. for $3.5 million cash plus a $3.0 million seller note; the transaction was expected to close December 31, 2020. The acquisition expands Energy Services' capabilities and geographic presence in gas and water distribution utility services in southern West Virginia, and WV Pipeline's leadership (David and Daniel Bolton) will remain with the business.
