JMC Capital Partners Acquires Green Cubes Technology

Boston-based private equity firm JMC Capital Partners has acquired Green Cubes Technology, a Kokomo, Indiana manufacturer of lithium-ion battery power systems. JMC said it will support Green Cubes' growth through strategic acquisitions and organic programs to expand the company's industrial, motive, medical and ground support equipment offerings.

Pineapple Energy Acquires SUNation Energy

Pineapple Energy Inc. acquired SUNation Energy, a Long Island-based solar and battery storage installer, in a transaction that closed on November 9, 2022. The deal expands Pineapple's footprint into the northeastern United States, adding SUNation's ~19-year regional business, ~12,000 serviced PV systems and ~$48 million of trailing twelve-month revenue to Pineapple's nationwide solar and storage platform.

Generac Acquires PowerPlay Business from SunGrid Solutions

Sensata Technologies Acquires Spear Power Systems

Sensata Technologies has agreed to acquire Spear Power Systems, a Grandview, Missouri-based developer and manufacturer of advanced energy storage systems, to advance Sensata's electrification strategy. The deal (financial terms undisclosed) brings Spear's team — including more than 40 engineers — and its battery management and energy storage capabilities into Sensata to expand its clean energy and OEM solutions.

Syntax Systems Acquires EmeraldCube Solutions

Montreal-based Syntax Systems has acquired Atlanta/Alpharetta-based EmeraldCube Solutions to strengthen its Oracle JD Edwards and AWS public cloud capabilities. Syntax, a portfolio company of private equity firm Novacap TMT IV (which provided equity financing), will integrate EmeraldCube's software solutions and managed-services platform to expand its JD Edwards managed services and cloud offerings.

Paeonia Industries Acquires the Savant Group

Paeonia Industries, the industrial operating platform of Singapore-based Paeonia Group, has acquired the Savant Group, a Midland, Michigan–based consortium of companies specializing in lubricant testing, laboratory instrumentation, and materials certification. The deal will keep Savant's operations in Midland while leveraging Paeonia's global resources to expand capabilities and market reach in the energy, automotive and manufacturing end markets.
