Kitchen United has acquired Zuul, a New York-based software and ghost kitchen developer, marking Kitchen United's first acquisition. Uber Eats Acquires Restaurant Ordering Tech Provider orderTalk

Uber Eats has acquired orderTalk, a restaurant online-ordering and POS-integration technology company originally founded in South Africa and later based in Dallas, Texas. The deal — announced by Knife Capital, which managed the HBD Venture Capital fund that invested in orderTalk — will strengthen Uber Eats' point-of-sale integration capabilities and represents a VC exit for Knife Capital and HBD Venture Capital; terms were not disclosed.

Utopia Kingdom Acquires OnTrak Software

Utz Brands Acquires Truco Enterprises (ON THE BORDER) for $480M

Utz Brands (NYSE: UTZ) agreed to acquire Truco Enterprises, the maker of On The Border tortilla chips, salsa and queso, from Insignia Capital Group for approximately $480 million in cash. The transaction closed in December 2020; Utz expects to leverage its direct-store-delivery network and broader capabilities to expand the On The Border brand into new markets.

California Tacos Acquires OnPlate Mobile App

California Tacos, Inc. has signed a binding letter of intent to acquire OnPlate, a Phoenix-based mobile app that combines menu, ordering and payment processing. The deal (closing scheduled October 27, 2021) will consolidate California Tacos’ Bag-it-to-go technology into the OnPlate brand to accelerate the buyer’s digital strategy and support immediate market deployment.

ParTech Acquires MENU Technologies AG

The deal adds MENU's online ordering and delivery orchestration capabilities to PAR's unified commerce suite, enhancing PAR's ability to offer integrated POS, payments, loyalty and back-office solutions to enterprise restaurant clients.
