KKR Acquires 1-800 Contacts from AEA Investors

Global investment firm KKR has agreed to acquire 1-800 Contacts, the largest U.S. contact lens retailer, from AEA Investors. The deal funds continued growth of 1-800 Contacts' direct-to-consumer platform and telemedicine capabilities, including products such as ExpressExam and recent acquisitions like 6over6 and Liingo.

BonLook Acquires EyeMeasure Virtual Optical Measurement App

Montreal-based eyewear retailer BonLook has acquired EyeMeasure, a smartphone application that measures pupillary distance and bifocal segment height and includes virtual try-on and frame digitization features. BonLook will integrate EyeMeasure into its services and offer the app and an SDK to retail partners as part of its technology-driven growth strategy.

Belden Inc. has acquired Precision Optical Technologies, Inc. in a transaction announced at approximately $290 million in cash. The deal adds a portfolio of value‑added optical transceivers and fiber products to Belden's Enterprise Solutions segment to broaden its PON and fiber offerings for telcos, MSOs, data centers and enterprise customers; the acquisition was expected to close by end of Q2 2024 and has been completed.
