SPARC Research, an aerospace propulsion company based in Warrenton, Virginia, announced it will acquire Design Integrated Technology (DIT), a Warrenton-based manufacturer of high-viscosity industrial mixers and propellant testing equipment. The deal is intended to expand SPARC Research’s manufacturing capabilities and commercial presence, with the acquisition expected to close in early 2022.

DART, which generates roughly $100 million in pro forma 2022 revenue and employs about 400 people across facilities in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, was acquired to expand TransDigm's proprietary product and aftermarket capabilities; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2022 subject to customary approvals.
