Brynwood Partners VII L.P. has acquired Cold Spring Brewing Company, Inc. from the Lenore family. The private equity firm said Cold Spring will operate as a standalone company but will benefit from the scale and national distribution and manufacturing footprint of Brynwood’s Harvest Hill Beverage Company investment to support growth and private-label/co-manufacturing opportunities.

Carlsberg Group Acquires Waterloo Brewing

The Carlsberg Group completed its acquisition of Waterloo Brewing Ltd., finalised on March 7, 2023, following shareholder approval. The all-cash transaction (C$144 million) brings Waterloo's Kitchener brewing and RTD production capabilities into Carlsberg's portfolio to accelerate growth in the Canadian market and produce some Carlsberg brands locally.

Gryphon Investors Acquires Majority Stake in Spindrift Beverage Co.

Gryphon Investors will acquire a majority stake in Spindrift Beverage Co., a Newton, Massachusetts-based maker of sparkling water and other fruit-based beverages, with founder Bill Creelman and the management team retaining a significant equity stake. The investment coincides with the appointment of Dave Burwick as CEO and is intended to provide financial and operational resources to accelerate the brand's growth; the deal is expected to close in Q1 2025 (terms not disclosed).

Celsius Holdings Acquires Big Beverages Contract Manufacturing for $75M

Celsius Holdings, Inc. acquired Big Beverages Contract Manufacturing, L.L.C. for $75 million in a deal that closed on November 1, 2024. The acquisition adds a 170,000-square-foot beverage manufacturing and warehouse facility (principally dedicated to CELSIUS production) in the Charlotte metro area, providing Celsius greater supply-chain control, faster innovation cycles and expected margin improvement.

Corby (Pernod Ricard) Acquires 90% Stake in Ace Beverage Group

Corby Spirit and Wine, the Canadian affiliate of Pernod Ricard, will acquire a 90% stake in Ace Beverage Group for an enterprise value of CAD 165 million, with call options to buy the remaining shares in 2025 and 2028. The deal gives Corby a stronger position in the fast-growing Canadian ready-to-drink (RTD) category and will leverage Corby's distribution network to scale ABG's Cottage Springs, Ace Hill and other brands across Canada.

Cadman Capital Group (via Highweald Beverages) Acquires 360 Degree Brewing Company

Cadman Capital Group has acquired East Sussex-based 360 Degree Brewing Company through its beverage platform Highweald Beverages. The transaction is an add-on to Cadman's growing UK beverage portfolio and follows a prior acquisition of the Lake Street vineyard; Highweald intends to keep the brewery's operations intact while supporting growth.
