Cold Spring Brewing Company Acquires Carolina Beverage Group, LLC

Cold Spring Brewing Company, a Brynwood Partners portfolio company, has acquired 100% of the stock of Carolina Beverage Group, LLC from SunTx Capital Partners and other selling shareholders. The combined business, to be named Carolina Beverage Group and headquartered in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, creates one of the largest independently owned contract manufacturers in the beverage sector and expands Brynwood's manufacturing footprint and capabilities.

Gryphon Investors Acquires Majority Stake in Spindrift Beverage Co.

Gryphon Investors will acquire a majority stake in Spindrift Beverage Co., a Newton, Massachusetts-based maker of sparkling water and other fruit-based beverages, with founder Bill Creelman and the management team retaining a significant equity stake. The investment coincides with the appointment of Dave Burwick as CEO and is intended to provide financial and operational resources to accelerate the brand's growth; the deal is expected to close in Q1 2025 (terms not disclosed).

Broadtree Partners Acquires CanSource

Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. Acquires De Wafelbakkers

Consortium Including Charlesbank, Oaktree and Blue Ribbon Partners Recapitalizes City Brewing Company

A consortium led by Charlesbank Capital Partners with participation from Oaktree Capital Management, Blue Ribbon Partners and City Brewing management agreed to an equity investment to acquire 100% of City Brewing Company; the transaction was expected to close in April 2021. The recapitalization will fund a $630 million investment program to expand capacity, launch a West Coast facility (the Irwindale Brew Yard acquired from Pabst Brewing Company), and support leadership transitions and growth initiatives.

LaSalle Capital Acquires Joseph's Frozen Foods (with NewSpring Mezzanine financing)

LaSalle Capital, with mezzanine financing from NewSpring Mezzanine, has completed the acquisition of Joseph's Frozen Foods from Brynwood Partners. Joseph's, headquartered in Haverhill, Massachusetts, is a manufacturer of frozen Italian pastas, sauces and meal solutions and will use the partnership capital to support product innovation and production capacity expansion.
