Cortec Group Acquires Enthusiast Auto Holdings from Bertram Capital

Cortec Group, through an affiliate of Cortec Group Fund VII, acquired Enthusiast Auto Holdings (EAH), a Wadsworth, Ohio–based digitally native e‑commerce platform in the automotive aftermarket. The transaction, announced as completed in January 2020 (signed December 19, 2019), was a platform investment for Cortec Fund VII; terms were not disclosed and senior debt was provided by Antares Capital, NXT Capital and First Eagle Investment Management.

Enthusiast Auto Holdings Acquires Majority of Z1 Motorsports

Enthusiast Auto Holdings (EAH) acquired a majority stake in Z1 Motorsports on November 3, 2020, in partnership with Z1 management. Z1, a Carrollton, Georgia–based direct-to-consumer e-commerce retailer of Nissan and Infiniti performance parts, will continue to be led by Founder and President Russell Floyd as EAH supports scaling through digital marketing, technology, and operations expertise.

Enthusiast Auto Holdings (EAH), a Cortec Group-backed e-commerce platform for performance automotive aftermarket businesses, has acquired RCI Off Road, a Loveland, Colorado-based manufacturer and online retailer of off-road accessories for pickup trucks and SUVs. The acquisition is an add-on to EAH’s portfolio to expand into the truck/off-road aftermarket and to leverage EAH’s digital marketing, technology, and distribution capabilities to scale RCI’s growth.

Phillips & Temro Acquires EVoCharge, Inc.

Autonomy Acquires EV Mobility's Technology, Assets and Customer Accounts

Autonomy, an electric vehicle subscription company based in Santa Monica, has agreed to acquire the technology, assets and customer accounts of EV Mobility, an all-electric car-sharing platform that provides EVs as an amenity to hotels and multi-family properties. The deal (cash and stock, terms undisclosed) is intended to accelerate Autonomy's entry into car-sharing, expand its product offering, and scale usage through EV Mobility's existing hospitality and property partnerships; the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2023.

Madison Dearborn Partners and CoVant Management Acquire AEVEX Aerospace

Madison Dearborn Partners and CoVant Management have agreed to acquire majority ownership of AEVEX Aerospace from Trive Capital. AEVEX is a provider of full‑spectrum airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (AISR) technology solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense, Special Operations, and the Intelligence Community; the company employs approximately 600 people and maintains offices across multiple U.S. states. The transaction is expected to close by the end of Q1 2020, and AEVEX's founder‑management team will retain a significant ownership stake.
