Cortec Group Acquires Enthusiast Auto Holdings from Bertram Capital

Cortec Group, through an affiliate of Cortec Group Fund VII, acquired Enthusiast Auto Holdings (EAH), a Wadsworth, Ohio–based digitally native e‑commerce platform in the automotive aftermarket. The transaction, announced as completed in January 2020 (signed December 19, 2019), was a platform investment for Cortec Fund VII; terms were not disclosed and senior debt was provided by Antares Capital, NXT Capital and First Eagle Investment Management.

EVANNEX’s president Matt Pressman will continue to manage the business; EAH said it will support EVANNEX with digital marketing, operations, R&D and technology to broaden the product catalog and accelerate growth. Terms were not disclosed.

Gentherm Incorporated acquired Etratech Enterprises, Inc., a Burlington, Ontario–based designer and manufacturer of advanced electronic controls and systems, from Etratech shareholders (including minority investor The Shotgun Fund). Etratech, which employs more than 400 people and had estimated revenues of CAD 77 million (about US$61 million) trailing-12-months, was purchased for US$64 million (~8.5x trailing EBITDA).
