Quikrete Holdings, a privately owned building materials company based in Atlanta, acquired Summit Materials, a leading producer of aggregates, cement and ready-mix concrete, for an enterprise value of approximately $11.5 billion (including debt). The transaction combines Quikrete’s packaged-products footprint with Summit’s vertically integrated aggregates and cement operations to expand scale, capabilities and market coverage across the U.S. and Canada.
