TRS Components Inc., a portfolio company of Argyle Capital Partners, and Terra Nova Truss completed a merger of equals that closed on April 1, 2023, creating one of the leading truss companies in Ontario and Canada. Argyle and co-investor Celina Capital Corporation backed the combination to expand geographic coverage, scale manufacturing capacity across four facilities, and pursue cross-selling and cost-savings opportunities.

TRS Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Alta Electronics

TRS Capital, an early-stage investment firm, has acquired a majority stake in Alta Electronics, a Canadian supplier of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies and electrical components. Management will remain in place while TRS plans to support growth by investing in inventory and equipment and expanding Alta's presence in the U.S. and other international markets.

TRS Services Acquires American Aeromotive Components

Houston-based TRS Services has acquired the assets of American Aeromotive Components (AAC), expanding TRS's manufacturing and replacement-parts capabilities for light industrial and aeroderivative gas turbines. The acquisition adds CNC grinding and machining capacity and broadens TRS's repair capabilities for heavy industrial buckets and blades, strengthening the company's technical expertise and service offering to turbine operators and OEMs.

Strength Capital Partners Acquires Truesdell Corporation

Strength Capital Partners has acquired Truesdell Corporation, a Tempe, Arizona–headquartered provider of concrete infrastructure maintenance, repair and safety enhancement services. Terms were not disclosed; Strength will support Truesdell's growth through organic initiatives and a buy-and-build strategy supported by financing from First Merchants Bank, Northcreek Mezzanine and Midwest Mezzanine. Peninsula Capital Partners was the selling investor and D.A. Davidson served as financial advisor to Peninsula and Truesdell.

Ares Management and Ontario Teachers' Acquire Majority Stake in TricorBraun

Funds managed by Ares Management's Private Equity Group and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board have agreed to acquire a majority interest in TricorBraun from AEA Investors. Management will remain in place and retain a meaningful investment while AEA will retain a minority stake; the deal supports TricorBraun's next phase of growth through organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions.

Parsons Corporation Acquires TRS Group, Inc.

Parsons Corporation acquired environmental remediation technology provider TRS Group, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $36 million. The deal strengthens Parsons' environmental remediation and PFAS-treatment capabilities, integrating TRS's thermal remediation technologies and PerfluorAd licensing into Parsons' Federal Solutions and Critical Infrastructure segments.
