GCOM, a provider of software solutions for state and local governments, has acquired Qlarion, a data analytics and business intelligence firm based in Reston, Virginia. The deal makes Qlarion the data analytics arm of GCOM and is intended to embed analytics capabilities into GCOM's existing government-focused SaaS products to improve program outcomes and decision-making for public-sector clients.

The transaction (supported by a $175 million financing facility with participation from an affiliate of Paceline Equity Partners) expands GCOM's capabilities and presence in the public sector and represents an add-on to the GCOM platform.
