EverGen Infrastructure Acquires 67% Interest in GrowTEC (Grow the Energy Circle Ltd.)

EverGen Infrastructure Corp. completed the acquisition of a 67% interest in Grow the Energy Circle Ltd. ("GrowTEC"), a farm-scale biogas facility near Lethbridge, Alberta, for cash consideration and equity. The transaction brings an operating anaerobic digester into EverGen’s Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) platform as the project is upgraded to produce pipeline-quality RNG under an offtake agreement with FortisBC.

Macquarie Capital Principal Finance Acquires Evercreech Renewable Energy Ltd (adds to Adapt Biogas)

Macquarie Capital Principal Finance has acquired a majority stake in Evercreech Renewable Energy Ltd, a greenfield anaerobic digestion (AD) project in Somerset, United Kingdom. The Evercreech plant will be added to Macquarie’s Adapt Biogas platform to expand biomethane-to-grid capacity and fund construction and operations, with the plant expected to inject gas to the national grid by early 2022.

Northern Biogas Acquires Three Dairy RNG Projects with Support from H.I.G. Capital

Capital, has acquired three dairy renewable natural gas (RNG) projects in the United States, expanding its RNG production capacity and development pipeline. The additions sit close to Northern Biogas' existing footprint and are expected to begin commercial service by Q1 2024, creating operational and commercial synergies.

H.I.G. Infrastructure Acquires Controlling Interest in Northern Biogas

H.I.G. Capital’s infrastructure arm, H.I.G. Infrastructure, has acquired a controlling interest in Northern Biogas, a Morgantown, West Virginia–based waste-to-renewable natural gas company that develops, builds, owns and operates anaerobic digester and RNG facilities. The investment will support Northern Biogas’ development pipeline of dairy, landfill and food-waste RNG projects across the U.S. as the company scales its construction, operations and service capabilities.

Kinder Morgan Acquires North American Natural Resources

Kinder Morgan, Inc. has closed the $135 million acquisition of North American Natural Resources, Inc. and its sister companies North American Biofuels, LLC and North American-Central, LLC, acquiring seven landfill gas-to-power facilities in Michigan and Kentucky. Kinder Morgan will evaluate converting up to four sites to renewable natural gas (RNG) with approximately $175 million of capital spend, expanding its RNG generation capacity and diversifying its renewables portfolio.

Ares Management Acquires Burnham RNG from Edge Natural Resources

A fund managed by Ares Management's Infrastructure Opportunities strategy has acquired Burnham RNG from Edge Natural Resources. The investment will support Burnham's development and construction of a pipeline of renewable natural gas (RNG) and waste-to-biogas projects across the United States, including the Pasco Resource Recovery Center in Pasco, Washington.
