Cleveland-based System Seals Inc. has acquired Plastoseal Produktions GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of engineered seals and plastic components, to expand its presence in Europe and broaden its GlobalOne supply-chain program. Plastoseal’s founder Wolfgang Kerschbaumer will remain as managing director as the companies integrate product ranges and R&D capabilities.

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Acquires TRITEC Performance Solutions

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions (part of Trelleborg AB) acquired U.S.-based TRITEC Performance Solutions, a manufacturer of engineered PTFE seals, billets and assemblies, in a bolt-on acquisition announced November 27, 2019. The deal — with TRITEC majority owned by Edgewater Capital Partners prior to the sale — expands Trelleborg's PTFE capabilities, manufacturing capacity and service offerings for rotary seals and MRO/OEM customers.

Sur-Seal Acquires Mueller

Sur-Seal, a Heartwood Partners–backed engineered sealing solutions company headquartered in Cincinnati, acquired Mueller, a North Carolina-based provider of custom die cutting, slitting, laminating and CNC cutting operating out of a 141,000 sq. ft. facility. The acquisition expands Sur-Seal's engineering, converting and manufacturing capabilities and adds end-market exposure in HVAC, aerospace, medical, renewable energy and electronics while preserving Mueller's employee-centric culture under the Stober family ownership transition.

Meridian Adhesives Group Acquires American Sealants Inc.

Strength Capital Partners Acquires Truesdell Corporation

Strength Capital Partners has acquired Truesdell Corporation, a Tempe, Arizona–headquartered provider of concrete infrastructure maintenance, repair and safety enhancement services. Terms were not disclosed; Strength will support Truesdell's growth through organic initiatives and a buy-and-build strategy supported by financing from First Merchants Bank, Northcreek Mezzanine and Midwest Mezzanine. Peninsula Capital Partners was the selling investor and D.A. Davidson served as financial advisor to Peninsula and Truesdell.

Sur-Seal Acquires Ameritape
