Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), a Frontenac-backed industrial distributor, has acquired General Machinery Company, Inc., a Birmingham, Alabama-based distributor of automation, electrical, pump and compressed-air products and related repair services. The deal expands MCE's regional footprint and product/service capabilities in Alabama, northwest Florida and eastern Mississippi; General Machinery will continue to operate under its existing leadership.

Carter Machinery Acquires Alban Tractor Co., Inc. (Assets)

Salem-based Carter Machinery agreed to acquire the assets of Baltimore-based Alban Tractor Co., Inc., effective February 4, 2020. The transaction expands Carter Machinery’s Caterpillar dealership territory to include Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland and Delaware and strengthens its equipment, rental and power-generation capabilities in the mid-Atlantic.

CJ Pony Parts Acquires American Powertrain

CJ Pony Parts has acquired American Powertrain, a U.S.-based maker of transmission kits for classic and muscle vehicles, to expand CJ Pony's portfolio of in-house proprietary brands and product capabilities. Caerus Equity Partners Acquires C&L Cylinder and Machine, LLC

FBR Solutions/Greenhall-FVLCRUM Backers Acquire Johnson Communications (Add-on to FBR Solutions)

Greenhall Capital Partners and FVLCRUM Funds, in partnership with platform operator FBR Solutions, have acquired Johnson Communications, a Texas-based telecom construction and fiber deployment services provider. The deal positions Johnson as an add-on to FBR Solutions to expand in‑house fiber deployment, installation and maintenance capabilities and to scale the combined platform nationally; terms were not disclosed.

Axel Johnson International Acquires Majority Stake in Royse (Rodamientos y Servicios)
