Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE) acquired three ParkerStore locations in Williston, North Dakota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Sidney, Montana from Motion & Flow Control Products, Inc. (MFCP). The locations will operate under the MCE name and under District Manager Randy Iversen, strengthening MCE’s presence in the Bakken region and adding hydraulics, hose/fitting distribution and filtration capabilities (including a Parker Truck Hydraulics Center).

Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), a Frontenac-backed supplier of fluid power and lubrication solutions, has acquired Swanson Flo, Co., a regional distributor of process instrumentation, flow control valves, actuators and related services. Swanson Flo (92 employees) will continue to operate under its name and leadership from its Plymouth, Minnesota headquarters with four warehouse locations; the deal expands MCE's flow control capabilities and geographic footprint in the Upper Midwest.

Flow Control Group Acquires Smith Cameron Group from Krystal Growth Partners

Krystal Growth Partners sold its portfolio company Smith Cameron Group to US-based strategic buyer Flow Control Group on July 2, 2021. Tom Kramer will remain President under the new ownership; Krystal noted the sale concludes a successful 10-year partnership during which Smith Cameron completed six acquisitions and delivered strong revenue and EBITDA growth. Fort Capital Partners and Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP served as advisors to the sellers.

The deals expand MCE's geographic footprint, broaden its automation and fluid-processing product and service offerings, and represent add-on acquisitions to the MCE platform backed by Frontenac.

Quad-C said it will work with Flow's management to scale operations through M&A, expand geographic reach, and add new service offerings; terms were not disclosed.
