The Carlyle Group Acquires Acrotec Group from Castik Capital

The Carlyle Group has agreed to acquire the Acrotec Group, a Swiss precision engineering and contract manufacturer, from Castik Capital in a deal expected to close in Q1 2021. Carlyle will partner with Acrotec's management to accelerate growth, expand the company's MedTech capabilities and pursue geographic expansion in Europe and the United States.

Andra Tech Group (backed by Castik Capital) Acquires Innotec Zerspanungstechnik GmbH

Andra Tech Group has acquired 100% of Innotec Zerspanungstechnik GmbH, a precision-machining manufacturer based in Sinsheim, Germany; financial terms were not disclosed and managing directors Jörg and Björn Leichenich will remain in place. Innotec’s ~75 employees serve medical, optics, high-tech systems and semiconductor customers; the acquisition expands Andra Tech Group’s German footprint and capabilities and is supported by funds managed by Castik Capital, which acquired a majority stake in Andra Tech Group in September 2024.

Triton Completes Acquisition of Siemens Energy's Trench Business

Triton Fund V, advised by Triton, has completed the acquisition of Siemens Energy's Trench business, a global manufacturer of high‑voltage grid components. Trench operates nine factories across Europe, North America and China with approximately 2,400 employees; Triton said the asset will support its strategy to back market‑leading industrial technology companies and benefit from the energy transition.

Diehl Defence Acquires Dynamit Nobel GmbH (Troisdorf)

Diehl Defence has acquired Dynamit Nobel GmbH in a share deal, taking over the Troisdorf site’s operative activities, employees, assets and the related explosive operating authorizations (including shares in Troisdorfer Genehmigungshaltergesellschaft mbH). The purchase secures the licensing and infrastructure necessary to preserve DynITEC’s manufacturing and expertise at the Troisdorf location and strengthens Diehl’s munitions/explosive capabilities.

Lectra to Acquire Gerber Technology

Lectra entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire all capital and voting rights of US-based Gerber Technology, subject to work council consultation, merger control clearance and shareholder approval. The proposed deal envisages an upfront cash-free / debt-free payment of €175 million plus 5 million newly issued Lectra shares to AIPCF VI LG (an affiliate of American Industrial Partners), representing a total consideration of about €300 million based on Lectra's Feb 5, 2021 share price; Gerber reported €165 million of revenue in 2020.
