Parcom Acquires Group of Butchers from Equistone

Dutch private equity firm Parcom Private Equity has agreed to acquire the majority stake in Group of Butchers from funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe. Group of Butchers, headquartered in Tilburg, Netherlands, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of artisanal meat products (about 900 employees; ~€280m revenue forecast for 2020); Parcom intends to support further buy-and-build expansion and broaden the company’s customer and product portfolio. The financial terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to competition approval.

Morinaga Nutritional Foods Acquires Turtle Island Foods (Tofurky & Moocho)

Morinaga Nutritional Foods, a U.S. subsidiary of Morinaga Milk Group, acquired Turtle Island Foods Holdings, Inc. — the owner of the Tofurky and Moocho brands — making Turtle Island a wholly owned subsidiary. The acquisition aims to expand Morinaga's plant-based foods (PBF) business in North America, strengthen the integrated supply chain and manufacturing capabilities, and grow the Tofurky and Moocho brands across retail and foodservice channels.

White Cap Acquires TOOFast Supply

The deal, from owner Roger Kontor, expands White Cap's Central region footprint and adds local capacity and customer relationships for professional contractors.

Restaurant365 Acquires Compeat

Calbee Acquires Majority Stake in Hodo, Inc.

Calbee, Inc. has acquired a majority stake in Oakland-based plant-protein and tofu maker Hodo, Inc., accelerating Calbee's U.S. expansion and strengthening its Food & Health business. Japanese tofu maker Sagamiya Foods also took a minority stake and will provide technical support as part of the venture.
