Simpson Manufacturing Acquires ETANCO Group

Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. completed the acquisition of the ETANCO Group, a European designer and manufacturer of fixing and fastening solutions, for €725 million (approximately $800 million). The deal expands Simpson's product portfolio and European footprint; ETANCO reported ~€258 million in net sales for the 12 months ending Sept. 30, 2021 and high operating margins.

MultiTech Industries (an Argonaut Private Equity Portfolio Company) Acquires Sandin Manufacturing

SV Labs (SFEP-backed) Acquires Sigan Industries Group

SV Labs Corporation, a San Francisco Equity Partners-backed CDMO, has acquired Sigan Industries Group, a Toronto-based contract development and manufacturing organization serving beauty and personal care brands. The deal expands SV Labs' formulation and manufacturing capabilities and adds a Canadian facility to its network; Sigan shareholders retained a meaningful ownership stake in the combined business.

Sandvik Acquires ICAM Technologies Corporation

Sandvik AB has signed an agreement to acquire Canada-based ICAM Technologies Corporation, a provider of post-processing, machine simulation and tool-path optimization software for CNC machining. ICAM (founded in Montreal in 1971) will be reported within Sandvik Coromant; the company has about 27 employees and 2020 revenues of roughly SEK 30 million. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2021 and strengthens Sandvik's verification and optimization offering for component manufacturing.

Sumitomo Corporation Acquires Saconix LLC

Sumitomo Corporation, through Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, has completed the acquisition of Saconix LLC from Copperbeck Energy Partners, making Saconix a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sumitomo Corporation Group. The deal adds sulfuric acid storage tanks and transloading facilities in the U.S. West and Gulf Coast, expanding Sumitomo's North American logistics capacity and boosting its global sulfuric acid trading and storage footprint.

Polymatech Electronics Acquires Nisene Technology Group Inc.

Polymatech Electronics, via its Singapore subsidiary Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Pte Ltd., has acquired Nisene Technology Group Inc., a 50-year-old California-based semiconductor company known for IC design and decapsulation equipment. The deal strengthens Polymatech's semiconductor capabilities by combining Nisene's silicon and silicon carbide expertise with Polymatech's sapphire-wafer technologies to develop multi-wafer semiconductor products and advanced chip fabrication/testing devices.
