Norican Group Acquires Simpson Technologies

Denmark-headquartered Norican Group has acquired US-based Simpson Technologies, a 110-year-old family business specializing in sand preparation, reclamation and laboratory testing equipment for foundry and chemical process industries. The deal, completed in early October 2022 for an undisclosed sum, expands Norican's foundry offering by adding Simpson's sand-processing capabilities and extends Simpson's global reach through integration with Norican's brands and channels.

Sandvik Acquires ICAM Technologies Corporation

Sandvik AB has signed an agreement to acquire Canada-based ICAM Technologies Corporation, a provider of post-processing, machine simulation and tool-path optimization software for CNC machining. ICAM (founded in Montreal in 1971) will be reported within Sandvik Coromant; the company has about 27 employees and 2020 revenues of roughly SEK 30 million. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2021 and strengthens Sandvik's verification and optimization offering for component manufacturing.
