The partnership aims to combine Sumitomo’s industrial and manufacturing expertise with Conagen’s bio-manufacturing platforms to scale greener chemical production.

Atlas Holdings LLC has acquired Saxco International, LLC, a leading North American value-added distributor of rigid packaging serving wine, spirits, craft beer and food customers. Saxco, headquartered in Concord, California with more than 250 employees and a loyal base of over 5,000 customers, was previously owned by The Sterling Group; terms were not disclosed.

Bain Capital Acquires Controlling Stake in Somacis

Bain Capital has agreed to acquire a controlling stake in Somacis, an Italian high‑technology printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer, from Chequers Capital (which will reinvest alongside management). Somacis, founded in 1972 and employing more than 1,700 people across five production facilities in Europe, North America and Asia, serves high‑performance end markets including Aerospace & Defence, MedTech and Datacentres/AI; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals.
