Harbour Energy Acquires Majority of Wintershall Dea Upstream Business; L1 Takes Minority Stake

Harbour Energy has acquired the majority of Wintershall Dea's upstream business for $11.2 billion in a transfer completed by BASF and L1 (LetterOne). As part of the transaction, L1 received a 14.87% preference shareholding in Harbour, making it a minority shareholder while Harbour expands its upstream E&P portfolio.

Vår Energi has completed the acquisition of ExxonMobil's Norway upstream assets for a cash consideration of roughly USD 4.5 billion, a deal that effectively doubled the company's production on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The portfolio adds interests in more than 20 producing fields (about 150,000 boepd additional), increases reserves to ~1,900 million boe and transfers some ~33–50 ExxonMobil employees to Vår Energi, reinforcing the company's position as the second-largest operator on the NCS.

The transaction is part of a broader recapitalization and restructuring of BayWa r.e. to support its transformation, strengthen its balance sheet and refocus on profitability and core renewable-energy markets.

TotalEnergies Acquires SapuraOMV Upstream Gas Interests in Malaysia

The deal strengthens TotalEnergies' upstream gas position in Malaysia and secures additional feed for the Bintulu LNG plant while keeping production costs and emissions intensity low.
