Schivo Acquires Supreme Screw Products, Inc.

Schivo, an Ireland-based OEM contract manufacturer (PE-backed), has acquired Supreme Screw Products, Inc., a Plainview, New York-based precision machining and assembly supplier to the medical device market. The acquisition adds two U.S. manufacturing facilities and capabilities in micro-machining, laser processing, and assembly, strengthening Schivo's footprint and technical capabilities in minimally invasive surgery and life sciences.

Schivo has acquired Mecaplast SA, a Swiss specialist in high-precision plastic, metal and ceramic injection molding and cleanroom assembly for MedTech and life sciences OEMs. The acquisition expands Schivo’s vertical integration and establishes Mecaplast’s Botterens facility as Schivo’s Global Center of Excellence for molding and precision manufacturing in Europe.

BioIVT Acquires PrecisionMed

BioIVT, a global biospecimen solutions provider, has acquired PrecisionMed, LLC, a Carlsbad-based supplier of high-quality human biospecimens and owner of a large longitudinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) repository. The acquisition expands BioIVT's supply network, inventory and capacity for CSF and liquid biopsy products while PrecisionMed will continue to operate from its existing headquarters and collection sites.

ARCHIMED Acquires and Merges Symbio and Proinnovera to Form Symbio Proinnovera

ARCHIMED has acquired US-based Symbio and Germany-based Proinnovera in an all-equity deal and merged them to create Symbio Proinnovera, a specialized dermatology-focused CRO. The combined group will offer end-to-end dermatology consulting, formulation, testing and clinical research across North America and Europe, with founders rolling equity into the new platform and ARCHIMED-appointed operating partners joining the board to drive growth and further acquisitions.

Perficient Acquires SMEDIX, Inc.

Perficient, Inc. has acquired SMEDIX, Inc., a San Diego-based healthcare software engineering firm with offshore operations in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The deal (announced Oct 20, 2023) adds ~175 employees and ~$12M in revenue to Perficient, expanding its healthcare software development capabilities and Eastern Europe delivery capacity; the parties targeted closing in January 2024 and the transaction was completed in January 2024.

Parata Systems Acquires Synergy Medical

Parata Systems, a portfolio company of Frazier Healthcare Partners, has acquired Synergy Medical, a Longueuil, Quebec-based developer of pharmacy blister-card automation technologies. The deal expands Parata’s pharmacy automation capabilities—adding Synergy’s blister automation systems and roughly 150 employees—to broaden offerings for retail, hospital, long-term care and direct-to-home pharmacies.
