The deal expands JoLo’s geographic footprint across the Southeast and enhances its service offerings (warehousing, intermodal and managed transportation), increasing the combined company's scale and capabilities.

Transport is an asset-light heavy-haul, flatbed and specialized transportation and logistics provider operating across the United States and Canada and handles over 250,000 loads annually; Gemspring intends to support network expansion, capability enhancement and strategic add-on acquisitions.

The transaction is an add-on to Transport’s platform intended to expand its brokerage and transportation-management capabilities and give SmartWay’s ~800 customers access to Transport’s broader capacity and value-added logistics services.

Hudson Hill Capital Forms Fusion Transport by Acquiring Majority Stakes in Global Transport Logistics and Am Trans Expedite

PLS Logistics Services Acquires D&L Transport

PLS Logistics Services, a technology-driven third-party logistics provider based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, has acquired D&L Transport, a freight brokerage headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. D&L will operate as an independent subsidiary with Brian DeFrain remaining president, and PLS expects the transaction to increase its annual revenue run rate to $950 million (with a projected ~$1.2 billion in 2022).

MGN Logistics Acquires Republic Logistic Services
