Bison Capital Partners VI, LP announced a strategic (growth) investment in Motorcar Parts of America, Inc., a remanufacturer, manufacturer and distributor of automotive aftermarket parts and EV testing/diagnostic equipment. The investment is intended to support Motorcar Parts of America’s product and geographic expansion and to accelerate its electrification testing and diagnostic capabilities.

JMH Capital Partners Acquires GWA Auto Parts

JMH Capital Partners has acquired GWA Auto Parts, an importer, distributor, and online retailer of private‑label automotive aftermarket parts (selling under the AA Ignition brand). GWA founder Gregg Alper remains a shareholder and will continue as the company's President; JMH said it will support accelerated organic and acquisitive catalog growth and further development of GWA's e-commerce capabilities across North America.

Motion Industries (Genuine Parts Company) Acquires Kaman Distribution Group for $1.3B

Motion Industries, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, agreed to acquire Kaman Distribution Group from Littlejohn & Co. for approximately $1.3 billion in cash. KDG, headquartered in Bloomfield, Connecticut, operates ~220 locations with ~1,700 employees and is expected to generate roughly $1.1 billion of revenue in 2022; the deal is expected to close in Q1 2022 and deliver $50M+ of run-rate synergies.

VSE Corporation Acquires Global Parts Group, Inc.

VSE Corporation (NASDAQ: VSEC) acquired privately held Global Parts Group, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $38 million. The deal brings Global Parts' airframe-focused distribution and hydraulics/pneumatics MRO capabilities in Augusta, Kansas into VSE Aviation, expanding VSE's product and repair offerings to the business & general aviation market and adding access to more than 3,000 B&GA customers and ~ $65 million of 2020 revenue.

MPE Partners / MSHS Acquire Pacific Power Group

MPE Partners, together with its portfolio company Motor-Services Hugo Stamp, Inc. (MSHS), has acquired Pacific Power Group (PPG), a Vancouver, Washington–headquartered provider of products, parts, and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for marine, energy, commercial and industrial equipment. The deal creates a nationwide MRO, engine and controls service network by combining PPG's Western U.S., Alaska, Hawaii and Gulf locations with MSHS's Eastern U.S., Gulf and Pacific Northwest footprint to expand geographic coverage, technical capabilities and OEM access. Terms were not disclosed.

Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), a Frontenac-backed industrial distributor, has acquired General Machinery Company, Inc., a Birmingham, Alabama-based distributor of automation, electrical, pump and compressed-air products and related repair services. The deal expands MCE's regional footprint and product/service capabilities in Alabama, northwest Florida and eastern Mississippi; General Machinery will continue to operate under its existing leadership.
