Monument Re Subsidiary Acquires Zurich International Life's Singapore Closed‑Book Portfolio

Monument International Life Assurance Company Limited (MILAC), an Isle of Man subsidiary of Monument Re Limited, has completed the acquisition of the closed book portfolio of Zurich International Life Limited's Singapore long‑term life insurance business. The Singapore portfolio and its employees have transferred into MILAC's Singapore branch following receipt of court and regulatory approvals in the Isle of Man and Singapore.

Monument Assurance Luxembourg S.A., a Luxembourg subsidiary of Monument Re Group, completed the acquisition of AME Life Lux S.A. from French mutual insurance group Covéa following regulatory approval from the Commissariat aux Assurances. The deal expands Monument's Luxembourg life-insurance footprint and will not affect AME Life Lux policyholders; Monument later announced the merger of AME Life Lux into its Monument Assurance Luxembourg entity.

Viridium Group Acquires Traditional Life Insurance Portfolio from Zurich Deutscher Herold

Viridium Group has signed an agreement with Zurich Group Germany to acquire a portfolio of around 720,000 traditional life insurance policies (approximately €21 billion AUM) from Zurich Deutscher Herold Lebensversicherung AG. The portfolio will be migrated to the Viridium platform under a new brand, with service agreements in place for a three-year transition and regulatory approval required prior to closing.
