The cooperative will offer employment to Grasse Lumber Sales staff and expects the transaction to close in late March subject to customary conditions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Atlas Holdings Acquires Quesnel River and Slave Lake Pulp Mills from West Fraser

Atlas Holdings has agreed to acquire West Fraser’s Quesnel River Pulp mill (Quesnel, British Columbia) and Slave Lake Pulp mill (Slave Lake, Alberta) and related woodlands and timber holdings, with operations to be run by Millar Western. The deal includes a long-term fibre supply agreement for Quesnel River and combined cash proceeds of US$120 million; closing is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Watermill Group Acquires Weston Forest

Macer Forest Holdings Acquires Acadian Timber Corp. from Brookfield Asset Management

Macer Forest Holdings Inc. purchased 100% of Brookfield Asset Management Inc.'s interest in Acadian Timber Corp., resulting in board changes and the appointment of Macer principal Malcolm Cockwell as Chairman. Brookfield Timberlands Management LP will continue as external manager under the existing asset management agreement, and the transaction terminated Brookfield's stand-by equity commitment to Acadian.

Lafarge Canada Acquires Westridge Quarries

Lafarge Canada has acquired the operations of Westridge Quarries, adding two quarries and a sand and gravel reserve in the Okanagan Valley to expand its aggregates footprint. The deal brings roughly 70 Westridge employees into Lafarge and supports Lafarge's Strategy 2025 to grow its aggregates business in high-growth markets.

Timberlab Acquires American Laminators

The deal expands Timberlab’s in-house capacity for engineered glulam columns and beams, providing greater price certainty, vertical integration and the ability to offer more competitive mass-timber packages across the U.S.
