Comar Acquires Automatic Plastics Ltd.

Comar, a medical device and specialty packaging manufacturer majority‑owned by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, has acquired Automatic Plastics Ltd., a Wicklow, Ireland–based contract injection moulder serving the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. The deal (terms undisclosed) expands Comar's manufacturing footprint into Europe and enhances its medical device and pharmaceutical packaging capabilities.

Comar, a specialty medical-device and packaging manufacturer majority-owned by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, has acquired Omega Packaging, a La Mirada, California-based maker of injection- and blow-molded closures and jars. The deal—backed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners and financed by Golub Capital Credit Opportunities with participation from Brightwood Capital and Everberg Capital—expands Comar's rigid packaging portfolio, adds child-resistant and continuous-thread closure capacity, and brings precision mold-making capabilities to its platform.

PDI Technologies Acquires Comdata Merchant Solutions

PDI Technologies has acquired the Comdata Merchant Solutions business from Corpay Inc., taking ownership of the POS hardware, software and site-level systems that serve truck stops and unattended commercial fueling locations. Corpay (Comdata) will retain its fuel card and merchant acceptance network, while PDI will become an approved provider of Comdata transactions and invest in expanding the POS capabilities.

Celestica Acquires PCI Limited from Platinum Equity

Celestica Inc. agreed to acquire PCI Limited, a Singapore-based electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, from Platinum Equity for $306 million in cash. The deal, announced September 21, 2021, expands Celestica's manufacturing and design capabilities across Asia and is expected to close in mid-Q4 2021 subject to regulatory approvals.

Praxis Packaging Solutions, a BPOC-backed contract packaging platform, has acquired Advanced Concept Innovations, LLC (ACI), a Lakeland, Florida-based contract packager and domestic manufacturer of surgical N95 respirators. The add-on expands Praxis' manufacturing and warehouse footprint by more than 160,000 sq. ft., broadening its capabilities and geographic presence in the Southeastern United States.
