Bugcrowd Acquires Mayhem Security

Bugcrowd has acquired Mayhem Security, an AI offensive security pioneer founded by Carnegie Mellon researchers, to integrate Mayhem's autonomous testing and reinforcement-learning capabilities into Bugcrowd's crowdsourced security platform. The acquisition (terms not disclosed) will combine Bugcrowd's hacker community with Mayhem's AI-driven offensive testing to deliver continuous, human-in-the-loop security across development and production; Dr. David Brumley will join Bugcrowd as Chief AI and Science Officer.

Limerston Capital Acquires CyberCrowd to Build Cybersecurity Platform

London-based private equity firm Limerston Capital has acquired UK-based cyber security services specialist CyberCrowd as the first step in building a new cybersecurity platform alongside assets from an earlier acquisition. The combined group will offer digital forensics, e-Discovery, a proprietary forensic case management tool, a 24/7 UK-based SOC, incident response, and scaled consultancy and penetration testing services to public and private sector clients.

Check Point Acquires Cyberint

Check Point Software Technologies is acquiring threat intelligence firm Cyberint (Cyberint Technologies) to integrate its external risk management, threat intelligence and attack-surface management capabilities into Check Point's SOC and Infinity platform. The deal, reported at about $200 million, strengthens Check Point's managed threat-intelligence and SOC offerings; the transaction is expected to close by Q4 2024.

SmartBear Acquires Bugsnag
