Summit Steel Fabricating Group Acquires Laser Specialties, Inc.

Summit Steel Fabricating Group has acquired Laser Specialties, Inc. (LSI), a Tulsa-based custom and contract metal manufacturer. The deal is an add-on to Summit's PE-backed manufacturing platform (backed by Lorraine Capital) and will expand Summit's capacity, capabilities and end-market exposure across OEM, military and energy customers; terms were not disclosed.

Nix Industrial Acquires Majority Ownership of Huncilman Sheet Metal Fabrication

Poseyville-based Nix Industrial acquired majority ownership of New Albany-based Huncilman Sheet Metal Fabrication in a deal completed Aug. 12; financial terms were not disclosed. The combination creates a workforce of more than 200 employees, retains Parker Huncilman in a leadership/ownership role while outgoing owners Gordon and Jeffery Huncilman transition away, and is intended to expand capabilities and scale in metal fabrication across Indiana and the broader Midwest.

Weller Metalworks Acquires Laser Precision

Weller Metalworks, the fabrication platform established by LFM Capital, has acquired Laser Precision, a Libertyville, Illinois-based full-service metal fabricator. The add-on acquisition (terms undisclosed) expands Weller's capabilities in laser cutting, forming, finishing and powder coating to better serve industrial equipment OEM customers.

HEICO Corporation Acquires Accurate Metal Machining, Inc.

HEICO Corporation’s Flight Support Group acquired a 96% stake in Accurate Metal Machining, Inc., a Cleveland-based manufacturer of high-reliability components for aerospace, defense and semiconductor equipment, for cash at closing plus potential additional performance-based consideration. Accurate, founded in 1976 and employing approximately 250 people, will continue to be led by its existing management and remain largely unchanged operationally while adding capabilities to HEICO's Specialty Products Group.

United Performance Metals Acquires Fabrisonic LLC

United Performance Metals (an O'Neal Industries affiliate) has acquired Fabrisonic LLC, an ultrasonic/additive metal manufacturing specialist based in Columbus, Ohio. The acquisition expands UPM's advanced manufacturing and specialty metals capabilities by adding Fabrisonic's patented ultrasonic additive manufacturing technology to UPM's processing and materials offerings, supporting end markets including aerospace, defense, space and automotive.

Olympic Steel Acquires Metal-Fab, Inc.

Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS) has acquired all outstanding shares of Metal-Fab, Inc., a Wichita-based manufacturer of venting and filtration products. The deal expands Olympic Steel's manufacturing capabilities and product offerings in coated carbon and stainless steel and is expected to be immediately accretive.
