Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) acquired Fulcrum IT Services, LLC from private equity owners Boyne Capital and Grindstone Partners for $193 million. Fulcrum, headquartered in Centreville, Virginia, provides IT and government consulting (software development, data analytics, cyber security and advanced engineering) primarily to federal defense, intelligence, education and healthcare customers and will join HII's Technical Solutions division.

The acquisition expands Fulcrum’s cyber capabilities and its presence in R&D and intelligence markets, adding clients such as DARPA, NGA, the Naval Research Laboratory and NASA.

The investment will support SageWater's growth, broaden its service capabilities, and expand its geographic footprint; the company has repiped over 100,000 occupied multi-family units and replaced more than 35 million feet of pipe since 1988.
