Liquidity Services Acquires Sierra Auction

Liquidity Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: LQDT) has acquired Sierra Auction, a Phoenix-based full-service auctioneer that sells vehicles, equipment and surplus assets for government agencies, commercial businesses and charities. The acquisition expands Liquidity Services' presence in the southwestern U.S., increases its transportation and used-equipment footprint, and enhances its pre- and post-sale logistics and buyer network while retaining Sierra's management and employees.

The deal, finalized June 4, 2024, will have StorageAuctions.com operate as a division of Storable and is intended to streamline auction workflows and improve unit recovery and re-rental efficiency.
