Miami-based P3 Technologies raised $10 million from a group of investors including Clarke Capital and used the funding to acquire Heartland Veterinary Pharmacy (Hastings, Nebraska) and VetApproved Pharmacy (Oakland, Tennessee). The acquisitions expand P3T’s pet-pharmacy capabilities and e-commerce/mail-order footprint as part of its strategy to integrate pharmacy services into its pet-health technology platform.

Swedencare AB (publ) Acquires Animal Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Swedencare AB (publ) acquired the operations of US-based Animal Pharmaceuticals Inc. for an initial purchase price of USD 15 million (approx. 131 million SEK) plus a potential earnout of up to USD 10 million; consideration includes cash and a directed new share issue. The deal (closed via newly established US subsidiary Animal Pharm Care USA, Inc.) adds a portfolio of supplements and topical veterinary products sold to ~8,500 US veterinary clinics and positions founder Jason Braun to lead the business and become a major Swedencare shareholder.

All States Ag Parts (ASAP), a Kinderhook Industries portfolio company, acquired TractorJoe, a direct-to-consumer online distributor of new and used replacement tractor and agricultural machinery parts. The deal is ASAP's seventh add-on and is intended to expand ASAP's direct-to-consumer eCommerce presence and website capabilities; TractorJoe's founder/owners will remain involved in the combined business.

Patterson Companies Acquires Miller Veterinary Supply

Patterson Companies, through its subsidiary Patterson Veterinary Supply, acquired substantially all of the assets of Miller Veterinary Supply, a multi-regional veterinary distributor based in West Point, Nebraska. Bridgepoint Investment Banking advised Miller on the sale and had earlier arranged an asset-backed refinancing to position the company for a successful transaction, which Patterson said complements its animal health distribution footprint.
