Synopsys Acquires Intrinsic ID

Synopsys completed the acquisition of Intrinsic ID, a Netherlands-based provider of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) semiconductor IP. The deal adds production-proven PUF technology and a team of R&D engineers in Eindhoven to Synopsys' semiconductor IP portfolio to strengthen on-chip security for SoC designers worldwide; the terms were not disclosed and the transaction was not material to Synopsys' financials.
