Synopsys announced on November 11, 2020 that it has acquired Moortec, a UK-based provider of in‑chip process, voltage and temperature (PVT) sensors and monitoring IP. The acquisition integrates Moortec's on‑chip sensing technology into Synopsys' Silicon Lifecycle Management (SLM) platform to improve chip performance analytics and lifecycle optimizations.

Siemens will integrate UltraSoC into its Xcelerator portfolio within the Tessent product suite to create a unified design-for-lifecycle management solution; the deal is expected to close in Siemens' fiscal Q4 2020 and terms were not disclosed.
