The Carlyle Group committed $374 million through its Global Infrastructure Opportunity Fund and Renewable & Sustainable Energy Fund to Amp Solar Group, Inc. (Amp Energy), a Toronto-based global renewable energy developer, owner and operator. The growth capital will accelerate expansion of Amp's renewable asset base and its Amp X digital energy platform across core markets including North America, Japan, Australia, Iberia and the UK.

Macquarie Asset Management, via its Macquarie Green Investment Group Renewable Energy Fund 2, has entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a 90% equity interest in French solar developer and operator Apex Energies Group from a consortium of investors. Apex, which develops, builds and operates rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects across France and also provides energy-efficiency and monitoring services through subsidiaries ORA and S4E, will support Macquarie’s expansion of its renewable energy platform in France.
