ABB to Acquire IPEC to Strengthen Electrical Diagnostics and Predictive Maintenance

ABB has entered into an agreement to acquire IPEC, a UK-based technology company specializing in early detection of electrical equipment failures. The acquisition will enhance ABB’s Electrification Service predictive maintenance portfolio, with the deal expected to close in the first quarter of 2026; financial terms were not disclosed.
