Aon to Acquire USI Insurance Services for $17 Billion

Aon signed a definitive agreement to acquire USI Insurance Services from KKR and other shareholders for $17 billion in cash. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions; USI has more than 10,500 employees and nearly 200 U.S. offices. Aon expects the deal to expand its middle-market and Excess & Surplus capabilities and strengthen its data platform.

Aon to Acquire Griffiths & Armour

Marsh McLennan to Acquire McGriff Insurance Services in $7.75 Billion Deal

Marsh McLennan announced it has reached an agreement to acquire McGriff Insurance Services, an affiliate of TIH, through its Marsh McLennan Agency business. The all-cash deal values McGriff at $7.75 billion and is expected to close by year-end, subject to regulatory approvals. Marsh McLennan later completed the acquisition, with McGriff’s 3,500+ employees joining Marsh McLennan Agency.

Accenture Acquires ON Service GROUP

The acquisition expands Gallagher Affinity’s group/association insurance capabilities and brings John Matthews and his team into Gallagher’s Affinity North America operations; terms were not disclosed.
