Apotex Acquires Cumberland Pharmaceuticals' U.S. Branded Portfolio for $100 Million

Apotex entered into an agreement with Cumberland Pharmaceuticals to integrate Cumberland’s U.S. branded pharmaceutical business into Apotex. Under the terms, Apotex will acquire Cumberland’s line of branded pharmaceuticals for $100 million in cash, while Cumberland retains its pipeline candidates (including ifetroban) and its majority ownership in Cumberland Emerging Technologies Inc.
