Breakthru Beverage Group has completed the acquisition of California-based wholesaler Wine Warehouse, which will operate as Breakthru Beverage California. The deal expands Breakthru’s West Region footprint and brings its Aspect fine wine offering and additional sales and commercial capabilities to the California market.

The acquisition is ABC's first out-of-state move in its 90-year history and initiates the company's national expansion while preserving Applejack's brand and local operations.

VWE paid $14 million cash plus a $2.5 million earnout, and expects to realize material cost synergies by bringing operations in-house while expanding DTC cross‑sell and digital capabilities; founder Larry Dutra (the seller) is expected to remain to help run the business.
