Pernod Ricard has signed an agreement to acquire The Whisky Exchange, a leading UK-based online and physical retailer of whiskies and fine spirits. The deal is intended to strengthen Pernod Ricard’s e‑commerce and direct-to-consumer capabilities and create synergies with its existing digital platforms while keeping The Whisky Exchange’s management and team in place.

Australian Wine Holdco Limited (AWL), a consortium of institutional investors and owner of Accolade Wines, has completed the acquisition of Pernod Ricard’s portfolio of strategic international wines effective April 30, 2025. The deal combines the Pernod Ricard wine assets (including Jacob’s Creek, Campo Viejo, Brancott Estate and others) with Accolade to form a new global wine company, Vinarchy, while Pernod Ricard will continue distribution for a transitional period.

The acquisition expands Ryder's e-commerce and omnichannel fulfillment network (adding 19 warehouses and ~7 million square feet), is expected to be accretive, and aims to integrate Whiplash's technology, operations, and team to accelerate capability and geographic coverage.
