Ryder System Acquires Whiplash Fulfillment

Ryder System, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Whiplash, a City of Industry, California-based omnichannel e-commerce fulfillment and logistics provider, for approximately $480 million in cash. The acquisition expands Ryder's e-commerce and omnichannel fulfillment network (adding 19 warehouses and ~7 million square feet), is expected to be accretive, and aims to integrate Whiplash's technology, operations, and team to accelerate capability and geographic coverage.
